These terms apply when you use BabyBooBoo, on the web or on a phone. By creating an account you agree to them. They are governed by the laws of [state or territory], Australia.
The service
BabyBooBoo helps you plan and track what to buy for a baby, and share that list with the people in your household. It is provided free of charge. We may change or stop features, and we’ll give you notice and a way to export your list before we close the service.
Your account and household
- You must be 18 or over, and keep your email account secure.
- Anyone you invite into your household can see and change its whole list. Only invite people you trust, and remove anyone who should no longer have access.
- You’re responsible for what you and your household add to the list.
- Approve followers only if you’re happy for them to see your items and what you’ve chosen. You can pause following or remove a follower at any time.
Acceptable use
Don’t use BabyBooBoo to break the law, to store other people’s personal information without their permission, to try to reach other households’ data, or to overload or interfere with the service (for example by automating requests).
Posts, comments and messages must be your own words and photos you’re allowed to share. Don’t harass, threaten or abuse anyone, share someone else’s private information, send spam or advertising, or post anything unlawful or sexual. You can block and report anyone; we review reports and may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
Prices, products and suggestions
Product names, photos and prices filled in from links come from the shop’s own page at the time it was read. They may be out of date or wrong. Check the shop before you buy. Starter lists, buy-by dates and timing notes are general suggestions, not advice, and aren’t a substitute for advice from your midwife, doctor or a product safety authority. Check safety standards and recalls (for example at productsafety.gov.au) for car seats, cots, mattresses and other nursery products.
Suggested items come from the starter list, from what people you follow have shared, or, if it’s turned on, from Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic. Claude can be wrong about products and never knows current prices; check every suggestion at the shop. We don’t earn anything from suggestions, and none are paid placements.
Your content
Your list belongs to you. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the service for you and your household, as described in our privacy policy.
Consumer guarantees
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can’t lawfully be excluded. To the extent the law allows, and because the service is free, we aren’t liable for indirect loss, or for loss caused by relying on prices or suggestions shown in the app.
Ending your use
You can stop using BabyBooBoo at any time, leave a household, or delete your account in Setup. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why where we reasonably can, and remove its posts, comments and messages.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll tell you in the app before the change takes effect. Contact us at [contact address].
